We are 'All-In' this Together at Mathews!

Special Edition

Meals, Technology, and Learning:

To All Our Mathews Families,

What we wouldn't do to be able to say looking forward to seeing you all at school on Monday!

But that is simply not the case, and rightly so.

The health and wellbeing of our students and their families as well as our staff, our community, and our nation, and yes our world, must always come first.

We are truly 'All-In' this together.

Special Editions will continue to come to keep you updated. Please know this is not Spring Break 2.0! We are actively working with our staff to help provide learning opportunities for your children during this time.

Our grade levels have been and will be sending information to you regarding how your children can continue to learn and grow through online learning experience. Another Special Edition will go out on Monday focused on learning opportunities from home.

Information below will provide our families with information regarding breakfast and lunch meals during this upcoming week. We also ask you complete the brief Technology Survey below.

One last note, we received over 300 hits on our Special Edition from Thursday, March 12 announcing the schools being closed this upcoming week. However, we want to be sure that all our parents are in the loop. Please forward and share. We are in this together. Thank you.

Technology Survey to Support Families

Technology Assistance:

Technology Access

In an effort to better understand and support the needs of our community, we are asking a few questions related to Plano ISD students' collective ability to access technology outside of school. We fully recognize the irony of using an online survey to gather this information. Please be assured that survey responses will be coupled with additional data collected using "offline" methods to inform our decisions and plans of action. Access and share this survey at:

At school...

Medication is locked up safe and sound at school. However, if you need medication for your child that is at school please contact Mr. Steele and/or Mrs. Powell. We will work with you to schedule a time to meet with a nurse to pick up any medications you may need while we are learning from home.

Ongoing Updates from the District:

Plano ISD is dedicated to caring for our students in and outside of the classroom. We are working diligently to offer solutions that will minimize the effect that this extended school closure may have on our families. Thank you to the community groups and volunteers who have reached out with various offers of help.

As we receive information on available support and services, we will post those details on our website at
