Land of READ-A-LOT
Maidens and Lords continued their quest for background information on slavery. We learned about the naming and selling of slaves, the area of the plantation where a slave would live, and what kind of an education a slave could have!
Missions in Math
The Kingdom has been digging deeply into geometry. Students tested over quadrilaterals on Tuesday and moved into partitioning shapes on Wednesday!! Fractions will be our focus for two weeks.
Soaring in Social Studies
Students continue their quest of four Americans who not only improved their communities, but who also changed and helped our entire country! Through video footage and peer reading, the students have been collecting facts and details on each important historical figure! Next week, groups of students will be making human monuments!!
WRITING that is Worthwhile
Our Maidens and Lords are in the planning stages of an informational writing piece. Some students were ready to move into the second phase of gathering information (research). Chromebooks are being utilized to help with our searches!
