Community Service Opportunity for the Jeudevine Project
Hazen students and teachers! The Jeudevine Project is reaching out to supporters of the library expansion for help with a getting-out-the-vote drive. We’re making calls to fellow supporters to remind them to vote, and we could use a few more folks willing to make calls on April 2 and 3. Note that these aren’t persuasion calls, only factual reminders of when the vote is being held (for which it’s fine to leave a message!) We’ll supply you with the list of people to call and exactly what to say.
If you could spare time on Sunday April 2 and/or Monday April 3 and are interested in joining the team, please email Jodi Lew-Smith at jlewsmith@ezcloud.com
And if phone calls aren’t your thing but you’d like to help in another way, please drop a line and let us know!
Calling all middle school girls!
Want to learn how to mountain bike this summer? Come to Dirt Divas Ride! At this day camp you’ll not only learn how to mountain bike, but you’ll also try new things, challenge yourself, build confidence, and make new friends. We’ll also splash in swimming holes, do arts and crafts, and play games. Dirt Divas Ride in Hardwick will be July 3-7 at Hazen Union. Generous financial aid available. IBL Project Idea: Work for WGDH-Goddard College Community Radio
Goddard College Community Radio is looking for a volunteer to help compile its community calendar. This is an opportunity to help local people find events they’re interested in and for event organizers to get the word out to the community. Each week, programmers let listeners of WGDR Plainfield (91.1 FM) and WGDH Hardwick (91.7 FM) know about events happening in the listening area. You can do the work from home or at the station; training will be provided. Intermediate or better computer skills are a must. If interested, please contact Jen Olson.
