No homework this week!

This week in Science we will be studying the Earth. Vocabulary words that students need to focus on are:

Weathering – the breaking down and wearing away of rock

Erosion – the movement of weathered materials by wind, water, or ice

Deposition – the process by which materials eroded by water, wind, or ice are dropped in a new place; forms deltas and beaches

Canyon – a deep narrow valley with steep sides and often with a stream flowing through it formed by erosion
