Principal Petrick Message

Hello Bobcat Families,

We are super excited about our inaugural Bobcat Broadcast. The Bobcat Broadcast will be shown weekly in classes on Mondays during Morning Meeting time. The broadcast is made possible by our 6th grade students and their teachers Mrs. Rinck and Mrs. Fleming. It's organized by our creative Producer and Editor Mrs. Foster. A special thank you to Guest Stars Mrs. Z and Mrs. Adams. A big shoutout to our very courageous and energetic inaugural co-hosts Caleb and Katherine. We will provide other 6th grade students with the opportunity to participate in our weekly broadcasts throughout the remainder of the year.

It is our hope that our broadcasts will:

1. Help students become more familiar with their school community, including the school building, the staff, the students and preparation for a future return to in person learning.

2. Provide students with a positive message to start each week and help build a positive school community.

Have a great weekend,

Mr. Petrick

FVPAE Needs Can Driver Volunteer

Farmington View's Can and Bottle Recycling Program is looking for a volunteer to take over transporting the bags of sorted cans/bottles to the Oregon Beverage and Recycling Center in East Portland. Our current volunteer, Dick Meeuwsen, is an FVES alumni father who continues to do FVPAE a huge service out of the kindness of his heart! He is needing to "retire" from his volunteer position due to health reasons but is willing to stick around to show the new volunteer the ropes. If you're interested in volunteering or have questions please contact Natasha at

Details: He uses an 18ft trailer but 16ft would also work. Typically he takes one load per month, although it has increased to two loads since COVID started.
