Project Graduation + Fundraiser
Project Graduation is planned for Friday 3 June, 2022 beginning at 9:30p.m and ending at midnight! The committee has begun planning but we need volunteers--particularly Sophomore and Freshman parents so you can learn how to host for your students!

Additionally, Project Graduation is hosting a concession stand to raise funds for this event during the PTA Play April 7-10. If you can donate items, or time, please use this link.
**Students can earn Community Service hours for working the concession stand. We are in need of students on Saturday 4/9 from 1-4 pm and Sunday 4/10 from 1-4 pm at SHS. They can email Lisa Eastland to sign up.
Memory Quilt Raffle
The last few years have been a difficult time to fundraise just about anything! Especially "In Person" events, so organizations had to get creative in order to raise monies for various, worthy causes. Our organization, Souhegan High School PTSA is no different and our "creative" endeavor is personal, practical, stunning and best of all, a work of art!

The Brodsky Prize for Student Journalism
Applications for the 2022 Brodsky Prize, a $5,000 award for high school journalists, have been extended to April 18.
The prize is open to all New Hampshire high school students.
Judging criteria include a student's journalistic initiative and enterprise, as well as what Brodsky calls "a contrarian nature and out-of-the-box thinking." Students should submit examples of their work that are illustrative of the prize criteria, along with a completed application.
“Working on the school newspaper was the most formative and meaningful high school experience for me – more than any classroom," Brodsky said. "It's more important than ever for young journalists to push boundaries and to challenge authority, and they can start by using the power of their school paper just like the press in the professional world."

Robotics
Over the weekend, Souhgean's own FIRST Robotics Team Entropy 138 competed in Shrewsbury MA at the NE District Central Mass Event. After competing in 12 qualification matches, they were chosen to be part of the 6 alliances in the quarter finals. Entropy made it to the semifinals before slimly losing, placing them as the #3 team out of 37 competing teams. Entropy now has 27 district ranking points, which places them at 101st out of 183 teams in the district. Great job Entropy!
