Please join us for the Fall Weekend Parade! Our theme this year "Fantasy" and our float is more than a Manor.....it's a CASTLE! Please feel free to march behind our moving castle with Ms. Weaver and Mrs. Hildreth on Saturday, 9/24/2022. The parade steps off at 12:30 so please meet in the parking lot of the Townline Garage (across from the Dunkin' Donuts in town) at 12:00 dressed in your best princess, king, queen, dragon, unicorn, elf or other fantasy creature costume. A parent/guardian MUST march with their child for this event. We can't wait to see all of the floats on Saturday!

Bivona Child Advocacy Center Provides a Parent Forum Zoom on Monday, September 26th

Big picture

Throughout the month of October, Manor Intermediate School will be continuing a partnership with Bivona Child Advocacy Center. https://www.bivonacac.org/ Together, we will be engaged in two classroom lessons that teach children fundamentally about how to keep themselves safe. It teaches them about body safety, identifying trusted adults, and it teaches them about what to do if somebody is making them feel uncomfortable or unsafe. These lessons meet the Erin's Law requirement for New York State.

Join Bivona CAC Community Educator Nicole Mendicino on Monday, 9/26 at 6:30pm via zoom, for a parent forum to learn more about the comprehensive and evidence based curriculum that will be utilized and ask any questions you may have surrounding it.

A Message from the Transportation Department

As the District approaches the end of September, the Transportation Department would like to thank everyone for their support and patience as bus drivers familiarize themselves with the new routes and heavier and longer bus loads for this school year. As we near the end of September, your bus driver's daily arrival and drop-off should be consistent, within five minutes. For parents looking in Infofinder, if you find actual pick-up and drop-off times are different than those posted in Infofinder, the actual times the bus arrives at your home are your most accurate guidance. (The times in Infofinder are calculated and may vary from actual times based on ridership, weather, and other factors.)

SPANISH FOR THE ELEMENTARY YEARS is an educationally oriented fun and interactive program designed specifically for the K–5 elementary student. The unique six-week curriculum features foundation vocabulary introduced through games, singing and hands-on activities. Students are able to compound words and begin forming simple sentences. Classes are never a repeat! Three different sessions are offered during the school year. New vocabulary and activities are introduced with each 6-week session! Returning students continue expanding their vocabulary base and new students begin building their vocabulary base. The program consists of a 5-year rotation of lesson plans! New and returning students can join. Research studies indicate the benefits of introducing foreign language skills at an early age! Early introduction increases the student’s ability to absorb rather than translate the language. Join the fun!

Manor Intermediate Students meet on Thursdays from 3:15-3:55 p.m. from 10/27/22 - 12/8/22. (No class on 11/24)
