Thank you for the memories...
Dear Monteith Families,
It is with very mixed emotions that I have decided to retire at the end of the school year. I have so loved my years at Monteith first as a parent, then in the office. The children and families are very important to me and will always have a very special place in my heart. It has been an honor and privilege to be a small part of so many children’s lives. Thank you for the many memories such as the humorous stories from the children, hearing about their many accomplishments, being a guest reader, helping with dissections, being sung to by the kindergartners, and so many more. However, I will not miss the nosebleeds, vomit, etc. Monteith will always be my home away from home.
Have a wonderful summer!
Love,
Ms. Patti (Kwiatkowski)
We will dearly miss our amazing retirees Miss Patti, Mr. Backman and Mrs. Curtin! Thank you for all you have done for Monteith and remember once a Monteith Tiger always a Monteith Tiger!
2019 Field Day Review (THANK YOU MRS. FREDERICK)
What crazy weather we had this year for field day! Despite the very wet conditions on our playground, “parking lot day” seemed to work out just great!! Thank you Monteith families and staff for finding alternatives for parking and getting to school. And of course, thank you Monteith PTO for continuing to sponsor this annual event. Additional thank you’s go to principal Shelleyann Keelean and Monteith’s faculty. Field day would not be possible without your support. Finally, a very special thank you to Patti Kwiatkowski (Miss Patti) for all she did to make field day happen. From making arrangements with the city and University of Liggett for parking, to all the organizing of supplies and distributing of materials right on time!
Field Day 2019- A Great Success!
With 30 different event stations, students had plenty of opportunity for both participation and even a little competition. Students traveled in small groups from event to event challenging their skills but more importantly, demonstrating outstanding cooperation and good sportsmanship. Monteith parents, you have one more reason to be proud of your kids!
Volunteers are the Greatest!!
This year our Monteith community can boast of over 80 involved parents, grandparents and family members. Additionally, there were lots of middle school and high school students volunteering their time who had also graduated from Monteith! Thank you to each and every one of you who gave of yourselves to make field day possible!!
A Special Acknowledgement.....
.......must go to Theresa LeFevre! She has been an amazing “field day mom” for the last several years doing all the shopping for popsicles, juice boxes, bubbles, chalk etc, etc. not to mention making sure all was in order on the day of the event. We are grateful to her for all her help and will miss her expertise as her son moves on to middle school!!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Frederick
