Odyssey of the Mind Results!

Big picture

Two Lang Ranch teams qualified to move on to the Odyssey World Finals by placing 3rd and 1st in the Matryoshka balsa wood structure problem at the SoCal Odyssey of the Mind state competition. They chose to compete in World Finals virtually this year. They had to quickly build new structures, refine their state solutions, and film their new solutions within the deadline two weeks after the state competition. Results were announced via YouTube on May 7th.

Coming in 3rd place Lang Ranch team B, 4th graders: Rohan, Marissa, Ferris, Christina, Anusha M, and Amr. This team is coached by Mrs Lauterman

Placing 1st, just ahead of a Hong Kong China team, Lang Ranch team A, 4th and 5th graders: Ryan, Joanna, Leo, Mia, Niva, Inay, and Sean K. This team is coached by parents Ye Shen and Diana Wickham.

Congratulations on bringing Lang Ranch’s best ever placement at World Finals!
