Lead Teacher Introduction

Hello and Welcome!

Please allow me to introduce myself and tell you how very excited I am to have your child in my class. My name is Mrs. Vashti Thompson. I was born in Liberia, West Africa. I am a citizen of the United States, having lived here for the past twenty-four years. I graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix campus with my Associate in Inclusive Early Childhood Education and later the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of New Orleans. I received my Master's In Education with emphasis in Curriculum Instructions from Concordia University Nebraska this spring.

Our classroom will be an environment in which all students will feel comfortable, safe and ready to learn. I am a positive individual who loves to communicate, and it is my hope to instill this same positive attitude in your child, as well as other important traits such as growth mindsets, responsibility, respect, choices, and consequences. All students will be nurtured and encouraged to be themselves while having fun. As play is an important aspects in our learning environment, we encourage all students to have a voice in the learning environment. Please feel free to contract me at anytime with questions or concerns you may have. Just a little information about myself, I have Four Children, three boys ages 36, 25, 23 and a girl age 16. I have a granddaughter which is 6 years. I look forward to creating a fun supportive environment for your child.

Assistant Introduction

My name is Julian Bradley and I will be the new assistant teacher at St.David's Day School for the 2021-2022 school year.

I was born and raised in Tacoma Washington, and moved to Texas with my family 18 years ago. I graduated from Vandegrift High School class of 2013 with a coursework in Leadership. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing video games and reading Marvel comic books.

I believe education is the foundation to a solid and positive lifestyle. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment for children to learn and grow. I have over seven years of experience working with children and have loved every minute of it. My passion for inspiring and impacting the lives of the children under my care allows me to see my profession as less of a "job" and more of a journey to become a better educator.

My goal is to be a good role model for my students and to strive to influence them positively by loving and accepting them just the way they are. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to work with your children. I look forward to seeing your child grow in wonderful new ways.
