A Note From the Principal

The new semester is off to a great start and both students and parents had positive feedback regarding our speaker Mr. Dee Hankins. We are grateful for his message of positivity and resilience and look forward to his partnership with our school in the coming months!

Please see important information below about our Active Lockdown Drill on Tuesday. You can also view my message to students on Friday's RioTV episode below. Additionally, there was a date change for PTSA's Presto Pasta Fundraiser night, which will be this Tuesday (both lunch and dinner). Below you can download the flyer as well.

In this issue learn more about:

  • COC's Road to Employment Day geared toward students
  • Information from Food Service
  • Updated Information from the City Bus Routing for Rio Norte

In addition to my message about the upcoming drill, I took a moment at the end of my speech to capitalize on Mr. Hankins' visit, and utilize some wise words from Dr. King, to impress upon our students the value of being kind. I hope you will take a moment to view it and then spend some time talking with your student about the reflection I've asked them to do this weekend, while taking the opportunity to discuss as a family, what you are doing for others.

Have a wonderful three-day weekend!

Food Service Information

Food service, our school's cafeteria, is continuing to happily offer each student one free breakfast, and one free lunch everyday. Additional meals cost $2.00 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch. We encourage students to pick up some of the delicious options available in the cafeteria. Each week you can find MENU INFORMATION HERE, but take a look at the breakfast menu (like the one above for lunch) in the PDF link below.
