Spring Pictures
Each child will take individual spring pictures and then later you will receive a proof of the picture and decide then whether or not you want to order.
New Schedule!
We are doing this to gain instructional time and more specifically to gain some extra time for more math instruction! We are excited about the change and know that it will provide great results for your students! If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of us!
Non-Traditional Instructional Day (Snow Days)
Just a reminder about our new "Non-Traditional Instructional Days" (NTI days)... We all understand that this is a work in progress, and though we do not foresee any winter weather in the near future we just wanted to remind you about the procedure for them.
Here is a link which explains it very well from SCPS:

What's going on in the classroom?
Writing: We have begun our persuasive unit. Today we looked at the different reasons that we love ice cream in order to support our opinion.
Math: Fractions continue-- this week we are using fraction rods to make mixed numbers and improper fractions.
Science: Students are studying geo-technical engineers and are determining important factors to determine a good spot to build a bridge in Nepal. We are reading a fictional text that accompanies this and it is really engaging the students!
