Bullis Charter School is an ocean guardian school! We were officially recognized by NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries for our work on marine debris reduction and for protecting the ocean. We are continuing our work on reducing marine debris, educating students about ocean literacy, and helping leatherback sea turtles.

Whole Kids Foundation Grant

We're excited to have received a garden grant from the Whole Kids Foundation to support our garden and environmental science program. The funds from the grant will be used to expand our outdoor classroom area near the north campus' garden, making it easier for teachers to bring their class to the garden for in-depth science and garden-based lessons.

Reusable Waterbottles

Please continue to send your child to school with a reusable water bottle (labeled with his/her name). Students can use the water fountain/bottle filler to fill up their water bottle (located near the severy on both campuses). With a reusable water bottle, your child is exhibiting healthy habits along with supporting BCS's efforts to reduce single use water bottles and other single use plastics.

Recycle Electronics at BCS

Don't forget that you can help both the environment and BCS by recycling your used electronics. Through Waste Management, the BCS office is able to collect and recycle the following electronics: cell phones, inkjet cartridges, laser cartridges, GPS devices, iPods, video games and consoles, DVDs, digital cameras, PDAs, laptops, iPads, Tablets, and eReaders.

We earn cash for these items through Cartridges for Kids so bring your unused electronics to the BCS office!
