To attend any 8th grade event, students will need to make sure that they meet the requirements of the contract. Below is a list of tentative 8th grade activities. More details will be forthcoming.
- 8th Grade Dance: Friday, May 12th from 7-9pm
- 8th Grade Picnic: Thursday, May 25th from 9am-1:30pm
A few more activities are being planned, and details about these events will be sent out as they are confirmed.
If you have any questions about 8th grade activities, please reach out to either:
Mr. Walker (8th grade AP), Dr. Toler (8th grade counselor) or Ms. Strobel (8th grade team leader).

Library News:
Thank you for supporting our spring Scholastic book fair. Every purchase helps us add new and popular books to our library for all of our students. Our students are looking forward to reading some of the following from Scholastic: Iceberg by Jennifer Nielsen, about a stowaway on the Titanic, Ablaze, about a girl with a special ability, and A Rebel in Auschwitz, the true story of a Polish underground operative who went to the camp to learn the truth of what was happening there. Happy Spring reading!
Tech Reminder:
Students should shut off their computers over break. This will allow their laptops to reset and add any updates to keep them in good running condition.
Updated Proofs Required for 8th Graders
Attention parents of 8th grade students:
CCPS requires students entering 9th grade to provide two (2) current proof of domicile to update their child's record. Your child's schedule will not be finalized for the 2023-2024 school year until your proofs are received. Please see the attached letter regarding this process. Proofs may be uploaded through ParentVue, brought into the counseling office during school hours, or emailed to our guidance secretary, Mrs. Matos, at rmatos@ccboe.com. Proofs must be received no later than April 11, 2023. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Matos or our PPW, Mrs. Jenkins at pkjenkins@ccboe.com.
