Dear PPCS Families,
You may have noticed the past two weeks we have had a staff shortage for various reasons. It was stressed by our board that it is crucial to keep students in school during these times. They have authorized me to make shifts as needed for students to receive proper instruction throughout the day. This may include shifting support staff, special education staff, and specialty teachers from their assigned responsibilities to the classroom setting, lunch and recess duties. My hope is that this is not needed, but due to substitute teacher shortages, there may not be another option available. If you are interested in becoming a school substitute, we would greatly appreciate it! Our application can be found here.
We are continuing to follow our Covid protocols to prevent transmission of cases for students and staff. It is very important to continue to send your students to school well-masked, keep them home with known exposures or symptoms, and continue communicating with me when those occur. We will continue to follow the current CDC guidelines to help make the decision of when your child should stay home or attend school. You can find the guidance document here. I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work through this pandemic. The most important thing is the safety and well being of our PPCS community.
How We Celebrate
Valentine’s Day is coming up and you might be wondering how PPCS celebrates it. Our school chooses to celebrate learning and does not take the time out of the day to celebrate holidays. However, teachers may celebrate their CREW through appreciations or other team building activities that day.

2022 Polar Walk
Our Parent Crew leaders report they had a good turnout for Polar Walk 2022, despite the 8 degree weather! "It was actually a really pleasant walk, crisp and clear."
