Tour de Beach - Team RAI$ING CAIN!

Only 4 days until RACE DAY!!! Who's getting excited???

Only 4 days to go...are YOU ready??

Only 4 days to go til race day and I wanted to remind everyone of all the details surrounding this important event! First of all, you MUST WEAR A HELMET! So if you do not have one, get one today! I'm sure if you ask around, you can find someone to borrow from.

As a team we have raised over $7175!!!! But let's not stop there!! Have you reached your minimum of $200 in donations? Now is the time to do that!! If you log into your Participant Center you can click Import Contacts and import all of you email addresses from there. It's super easy and only takes a few minutes. From there you can send out an email and use a template they already have done for you. That is great way to spread the word about your cause and solicit donations!

Another great way to get donations is to sell raffle tickets to win a new Cannondale Bike!! The tickets are $10 each and is just the same as getting a donation, yet they have a chance to win something!! If you need tickets just let me know and I can drop them in the mail to you!!!
Also, if you have a Facebook page, make sure to post the link to your personal donation site so that people can donate that way.

I have posted below the details of the day and what times you need to be check it out an plan accordingly!! I can't wait to see all of you and ride together this weekend. xoxo, Lynn

in the banquet room. Get your bib number, t-shirt, goodie bag, and begin familiarizing yourself with the route! We will also have hors

6:00am at the same place in the Hampton Inn.

When you arrive on Saturday morning there is ample parking in the deck if you are staying at Hampton Inn. If you are not staying at the Hampton please park across the street in the lot next to the Publix. It will be marked. Please DO NOT park in the CVS parking lot. We will have VIP parking for our Top 25 Fundraisers in the deck!

Saturday morning the fun begins at the Hampton Inn at 6:00

am with breakfast and check-in. Last minute registration is from 6:00 until 7:00. Team photos will be from 6:45 a.m. until 7:00 a.m.. Everyone should be in lined up to roll out at 7:15 a.m. for last minute reminders and for a safety talk from the Highway Patrol. The Ride begins promptly at 7:15 a.m. Cyclists will leave the Hampton Inn and ride to Fairhope and back, on the beautiful back roads of Baldwin County which hug the Mobile Bay. Awesome themed rest stops await you every 10-12 miles. Law enforcement will be out on the
route to ensure additional safety.

When you are finished on Saturday, relaxing massages are
available at the Hampton Inn and refreshments and entertainment will be
available post-ride as well. Watch some
afternoon college football beachside and rest up for a few hours before our 6
p.m. Bike MS Victory Party and Awards Banquet off the main lobby of the
hotel. This is a fun event and friends and family are welcome to attend! We will have a short and inspiring program, great food, live entertainment, and award prizes.

Rise and shine on Sunday to a hearty breakfast provided by
the Hampton Inn. Sunday morning’s ride
begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. SAG
vehicles will be available if you need to stop at any time during the ride and
bike mechanics will also be on the route both days.

The Hampton Inn will provide breakfast to those staying at the hotlel starting at 6 a.m.. There will also be breakfast items at the start/

finish line outside at 6:30 a.m. You can count on bananas, oranges, bagels, peanut butter, honey, water, sports drinks, and some breakfast

sandwiches (they will go fast!). Additionally, for those who make it to Rest Stop #4 (75 & 100 milers), we will provide lunch. At the finish

line we will have our Bike MS lounge complete sandwiches, wraps, fruit, and other great snacks. We will also have football games on and a

beautiful view of the gulf.

There will be one rest stop approximately every 8 to 12 miles. You can count on food and drinks. The drinks will be cupless, so make

sure you bring at least one water bottle. They will also have bananas, oranges, pickles, cookies, nuts, and granola bars at some. There

will also be porta-potties. It is a good idea to stop at most of the rest stops. Grab a bite to eat and refill your water bottle(s). You aren’t

required to stop, but we suggest that you do!

Knowing how to optimize your fluid intake is critical to successfully completing a Bike MS Ride.

One bottle per hour: The rule of thumb is to consume a bottle of liquid every hour, and that every second bottle is a sports drink. Also, remember to eat small snacks frequently during the ride. If you find that you experience extreme fatigue, the inability to recover your energy,

or frequent muscle cramps, seek assistance from first aid — you may have the early signs of dehydration.

Seeking medical assistance: If you find that you experience weight gain/bloating with progressive symptoms such as swollen hands and

feet, confusion, throbbing headache, dizziness or nausea, please seek assistance from first aid

Do you have a bike?

If not, no worries! I have two hybrids that a friend is letting me borrow, so just let me know and I"ll arrange for you to be able to ride one of them!!

See below for the Saturday map route and then the Sunday map route!
