Principal's Message

Stallion Families,

Thank you all for your support and trust as we continue to learn and grow in this new pandemic school year experience. Currently, we have 951 in-person students out of 1296 total students. As we continue to work in Canvas we all are getting more comfortable and improving daily. Learning is a process and we all will excel in time. We have shared videos (English and Spanish) below to help you and your children better understand Canvas and our campus wide template.

Our athletic seasons have begun! I have pictures below of the events that have taken place. We look forward to our student athletes continuing to compete throughout the school year. Make sure to check the events calendar on our website and the Athletic page in it to keep up with games and any adjustments to the practice or games schedules.

This past Wednesday was Conroe ISD's annual "Read for a Better Life" day. It was even more special for our campus because our namesake, Dr. Stockton, began this tradition back in 2004. Our teachers gave book talks of some of their favorite books to their classes and some even dressed up as their favorite book characters. We tweeted our selfies of our favorite books! Make sure to follow on Twitter @StocktonCISD to keep up with events like this on campus.

Reminder: Tutorials are offered daily starting at 8:15 AM. Students are able to enter the building starting at 7:40.

Starting in October we will be having "Club Days" on every other Friday morning during Advisory. Please view our "Lunchtime Slides" to see all the options our campus has to offer.

As you read in my Friday's email, we have had our first student to test positive for COVID-19. Your students have done a great job wearing their masks and this must continue. This is critical in helping prevent the spread of COVID and in preventing student quarantines. We will continue our class cleaning procedures, hand sanitizing/washing, and social distancing lunchtime procedures to help with this, as well. The daily COVID screening questions are listed below. Please do not send your child to school if they have any of the symptoms listed. Remember if your child joins the class Zoom or completes the Canvas "Daily Check Point" and assignments your child will still be counted present.

Please read below the many items to be reviewed and/or completed.

It is an honor to be the principal of Stockton JH. I look forward to serving you and your children in making this a very successful school year. Please always feel free to reach out to me via phone, email, or "Suggestion Box".

I hope you all have a great work week!

Hartwell Brown Sr. Invitational XC Meet

This was the first event in the history of Stockton Junior High. Congratulations to all of our runners and to coach Pierce for hosting this meet!

Starting the Season...

The 8A Maroon Team played Moorhead on Thursday, September 17th for the season opener. The girls defeated Moorhead 25-22 and 25-9. The girls had great serving performances from Rylee Bradbury and Lillian Harrell. Great setting and hitting from Alisa Sneed and Kylee Davis. All the girls played great and showed great teamwork.

The Stallions 7th Grade Maroon Team were not horsing around in beginning the season. They saddled up and defeated The Moorhead Panthers in two straight sets (25-17 and 25-14). The Stallions were led by the stable serving of McKenna Griffin, who served up 17 points on the night. Addison Mason added 12 points while Kaylee Lee chipped in 10 points. Coach Nelson sighted the whole team for great defensive play.

Both the 7th and 8th Grade Silver Team came up short but the girls gave a valiant effort and never gave up. They worked together as a team and proved that they have heart.

The girls will be in action again next week as they travel to Irons JH.
