Celebrating Student Success!
Last Monday our awesome girls' treble choir performed at the AT&T Center singing the "National Anthem" at the Spurs game against the Timberwolves.
This past Friday students competed in our annual Spelling Bee. After 42 rounds, we finally announced our winner - 7th grader Rithvik Balachandar! Our 2nd place finisher went to 6th grader Alex Hansen. Rithvik will now advance to the City Spelling Bee on February 18th at the McAllister Theatre at San Antonio College.
Our boys' and girls' basketball teams are well underway and they are competing with winning records going into this week's games against Bradley and Lopez! Our tennis teams just finished their first meets of their season this past week, and our girls won 8 of their 10 matches, and our boys won all 10 of theirs.
This week we have our annual band concert and dinner with enchiladas on this year's menu, and wonderful music by our fabulous Tejeda band. And we wrap up the week with our UIL Academic District Meet.
All-in-all, our students are excelling in their endeavors and we are blessed and fortunate to have so many outstanding timberwolves representing our school and community. I see their facial expressions when they spot you among the crowd of spectators and the audience, and I know that your presence and support at these games and events is invaluable.
Go Timberwolves! "Leave Your Mark!"
