Hard Drive

A hard drive is long term storage. If you are making videos or video games you will need a lot of hard drive (8GB). If you don't need that much space, just for pictures and general things i suggest 6GB.

Video Graphics Card

The graphics card decides how to use the pixels on the screen to create the image. The more expensive video cards are the ones that produce the higher quality picture. Then obviously the cheaper ones are still nice quality but not as nice. So it all really depends on high of quality picture you want.
