I choose this calculator because it broke down the categories to make a more defined footprint to analyze. The calculator also provided helpful strategies to improve my ecological footprint in a positive way. I learned that my footprint is smaller than someone living in the UK, but greater than the rest of the world.
From the viewing the video provided, "carbon market" can be the investments a business makes and the affect of those decisions on the environment. Market choices affect the carbon emissions released around the world. There are many ways to reduce your carbon footprint including, avoid traffic, insulate and seal your home(loft insulation, wall insulation), cut back on beef and dairy and eat more seasonal and organically grown food, planting tress to offset CO2, take up biking, walking or carpooling to work or school.
