Walden Weekly
School News You Can Use
Dear Walden Families,
We are excited for our PTO Bingo Night this evening! Just as a reminder, this event will take place in two shifts in order to accommodate the large number of participants. If your last name begins with the letter A-L, we will see you from 5:45-6:45. If your last name begins with the letter M-Z, we will see you from 6:00-7:00. All children need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please park in a legal parking spot in our lot and around the neighborhood. We can't wait to have some fun with Bingo!
As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow and we will see our Wildcats back on Monday!
Have a nice long weekend!

Not returning to Walden next year?
If you have a current K-4th grade student who is not returning to Walden next year, please complete this form as soon as possible. This information not only supports us with making class placements but knowing your child is moving allows us to prepare for your child's transition. Prior to your child's last day at Walden, we will prepare all records for transfer. As a reminder, our school office will not be open during the summer months. Please complete this form even if your child is transferring to another DPS109 school. Thank you!
Congratulations to our Destination Imagination Participants!
Our Destination Imagination teams recently competed in the State Competition. Below are the results of the teams. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication over the past months in preparation of this event. Great job to all of our DI teams and best of luck at the next level!

CHASING CHILDHOOD: A DPS 109 COMMUNITY CONVERSATION
As part of our district's vision to develop students that are emotionally resilient, socially skilled, and academically prepared, DPS 109 invites our community, alongside our teachers, staff, and district administrators to watch the documentary "Chasing Childhood" and attend an optional discussion session on Tuesday, May 3rd.
The documentary will be available to watch on demand between April 21st and May 3rd for up to 1,000 people. Watch your inbox next Thursday for a link to the film and a link to sign up for the community discussion.
Attention 5th Grade Families
Wednesday 4/20 is the final day to order your Shepard Middle School spirit wear! Sales end at midnight Wednesday night. Don't miss out!
