Makin' It Happen!
Spirit Week
During Spirit Week last week, students and teachers participated in dress up days to show off their Dragon Pride. On Monday, we extended our weekend by celebrating Pajama Day. Students went on a blast through the past during Decade Day on Tuesday. On Wednesday, students donned their suspenders and high-waisted shorts for Geek Day.
Thursday's Spirit Day turned the halls into a sea of Green and White. Then on Friday, we kicked off football season right by dressing out for College Day.
Way to go, Dragons!

Discovery students are getting excited about Engineering!
This year's theme is "Waste Not, Want Not" and focuses on waste management. Students will have to consider how their Future City will deal with trash, waste management, and recycling facilities and incorporate those ideas into their virtual city and model. In addition to their virtual city and model, students will be writing a narrative to describe their city and how their city will deal with waste management.
All Discovery students will participate in the schoolwide fair at Jasper Middle School in late November, at which time the top 5 teams will be chosen. These Top 5 will go on to represent our school in the statewide fair to be held in January of 2016 at Kennesaw State University.
