National Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Our Kahla Knights will explore and appreciate the rich cultural history of Hispanic-Americans, and to shine a light on the contributions and achievements of Hispanic-Americans to what the United States has become.

As a parent of a student at a campus receiving Title I funds, federal law allows you to ask for information about the certification, college major, and advanced degrees of your child’s teacher(s). You also have the right to request information about the qualifications of a teacher aide or paraprofessional providing direct services to your child. If you would like to receive this information, you may contact the Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Human Resources Department at 281-897-4099.

There is a link to HappyFox (student support system) on the webpage for each campus. This link will take the student to my.cfisd.net where they can login. Upon login, they can click on the HappyFox logo to enter the system.
Students will be presented with questions, and based on their answers, other questions will appear as necessary in order to gather the information needed to address the issue with their regarding their request.
Lost Items
If you lose an item (charger or Chromebook) please submit a HappyFox ticket for a replacement. Unauthorized chargers will void our warranty. Please do not purchase chargers.

National Principal Appreciation Month

October is National Principal Month. We would like to thank Mr. Virgil Maddox Jr. for his incredible leadership and support for his Kahla staff and students.
We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication!

The month of October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month with its purpose to raise awareness about breast cancer and educate men and women alike about the symptoms, prevention, treatment, and share stories about those that have fought, are fighting or lost the battle against breast cancer.
