Final Forms

We still have about 52 parents that need to fill out their forms. If you have not yet completed your forms please call the office and we can help you. If the forms are not completed your child will be unable to return to school.

Go into the Final Forms to complete your child's information for this school year. This is our new platform for you to add your phone numbers, doctors numbers, address and other emergency information. You can find the link on our district web page. If you have questions please call the office at 845-4480. We can help you.

NCES has an Instagram account. Please follow us to see the fun and educational happenings at New Carlisle Elementary School. Tell your friends and family to join us too. I try to post pictures almost daily.

New Carlisle Elementary has a Twitter page. Feel free to join @ArrowsNces, to see what is going on at NCES.

Positive Referrals

The students at NCES are able to receive positive referrals from staff for going above and beyond. We are so proud of our students who have earned positive referrals during the month.

When students receive a positive referral their photo is taken, the receive a bracelet, candy or a pencil. Additionally, students receiving positive referrals are honored as we hang their photo in the hallway of each student receiving a positive office referral and these students are also honored on our morning announcements which can be viewed on our Youtube channel, and their pictures scroll on the TV in the office. It is really exciting for our students.

WAY TO GO KIDS!!!! You are the good example for others! Keep it up the great work.

3rd Grade State Testing

New Carlisle Elementary 3rd grade students will be taking the Reading AIR State Assessment Test on the following days. This will be their first attempt to pass the test. They will all be taking it again in the Spring. If your child does not pass the state 3rd Grade Guarantee, they will be retained in the 3rd Grade. Encourage your child to do their best and take it seriously. Please make sure your child has a good night's sleep, dresses comfortably, has a good breakfast and arrives at school ON TIME. We are testing in the mornings from 9:30-11:30. It would be helpful to your child if you make arrangements for doctors appointments around the following test dates. Thank you for your help.

November 2 - Virtual Learning Day

On November 2, Tecumseh Local School will be having a virtual day of school. Your child is expected to be online at specific times to meet with their teachers. Their attendance will be counted for this day based on participation in live meets with their class. The teachers will be communicating this information to you. If you have any questions please call the office.

Holiday Party - October 29

We are having a spirit week the week of October 25th. More information on that coming through Parent Square. We will be having our Fall Holiday Parties on Friday, October 29th. Your child's classroom teaching will be communicating with you about how they are celebrating in their classroom. We will be wearing costumes this day if your child wants to participate. If they do not want to wear a costume, they can wear orange and black. All snacks that come to school for parties need to be wrapped and purchased from the store. We are still not able to accept homemade items.

Tecumseh Education Connection

The Education Connection is a telephone number that you can call 24-hours a day to listen to your child’s homework assignments, report your child’s absence, hear the lunch menu, find out the scores of the big game, hear about school closings and leave a private message for a staff member.

You will still need to call your child in if they will not be attending school, or doing their online work for the day. We will still need to document attendance. We are marking students with green, yellow and red attendance.

Please use the TEC number for:

  • Calling your child in sick.
  • Leave a voicemail with questions.
  • 937-845-4483

PTO We Need You!

PTO We Need You!

We will be holding a Tecumseh Elementary PTO meeting on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. These take place at Park Layne El. in the cafeteria. Masks are optional. Join the Tecumseh Elementary PTO Facebook for this information.

PTO has their own Remind page. On your phone Type: @tecelempto in the message space, put 81010 where the number goes, and join. If you have questions please call our office at 845-4480.

Arrival and Dismissal at NCES

Arrival - Please drop off students at the front door no earlier than 8:30 to make a shuttle bus. Students are not able to enter the building prior to 8:30. If your child is having breakfast they can enter at this time. If your child is NOT eating breakfast at school they can arrive at 8:55.

Dismissal - All students will be picked up using the curb lane. Try to not have them walk around the car to enter. This is a safety concern for our students. If you are picking up your child please wait at the light pole by the crosswalk or stand on one of the many red dots.

Thank you for your cooperation. Our students safety is our highest concern.

Boxtops for Education

Please continue to send in Boxtops for Education. We use these funds to help buy items for the children to help support their activities that take place here at NCES. Please keep saving and sending the Boxtops and Campbell’s label proofs into school as you collect them.
