APEX Leadership Training @ Wyncote
For two weeks, Wyncote took part in the Apex Leadership training. Coaches Billy Wonka and MoJo spent time getting to know the students and staff while teaching about positive characteristics and being team players. Wyncote surpassed its fundraising goal, and the school's PBIS program, as well as the classrooms, will have lots of goodies to use to celebrate positive behavior. The Fun Run was amazing and exhausting as students and staff raced around the gym completing laps to meet their goal. The week of learning about the qualities of a good leader while raising funds ended with students and one lucky teacher getting to "silly string" Mr. Taylor.
- The Philadelphia Tribune wrote about the Cheltenham School District being at the forefront of the cultural proficiency conversation in Montgomery County thanks to Superintendent Wagner Marseille partnering with other county school districts and the Cheltenham and Ambler branches of the NAACP to form a cultural proficiency and equity student ambassador program.
