Establishing Roots at Beal School
A message from Principal Girardi & Assistant Principal Hoey
Picture of the Week- Beal All School Meeting for the month of October
October 31, 2021
This week, we held our Beal All School Meetings for the month of October. These meetings are wonderful opportunities to celebrate our community and discuss common themes and commitments to strengthen our school culture. The theme of our October meeting was to transition from our October trait of kindness to our November trait of gratitude, and how gratitude is an appreciation of kindness from others and from ourselves. This is also a wonderful time of year to practice gratitude as we move towards some upcoming holidays and can be grateful to celebrate our diverse population at Beal School.
We also spent some time growing our commitments to establishing clear expectations for all areas of our school building. Our students have been so helpful with defining these expectations and they will be clearly displayed across the building with specific language for the hallways, bathrooms, playgrounds, school bus, and more. All of our commitments fall under three categories; be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. This month we worked on these commitments for our hallways and bathrooms.
I am attaching our slideshow from our October All School Meetings and invite you to explore these themes with your children at home.

Special event at Beal this week- let's celebrate Mr. Morgera and the Oak Middle School football team
This Thursday, November 4th is an important day for Shrewsbury Athletics at Beal. Our wonderful Media Aide, Mr. Morgera, is a coach for the Oak Middle School football team. His team will be ending their season in style, where they will be playing their first and only game at Shrewsbury High School against rival Mountview Middle School from Holden. This game has been moved to 5:00 or 6:00 PM to be played under the lights (we will share out the exact time when we have it.) It's going to be a great season finale for Mr. Morgera and our middle school students!
We will have a Beal cheering section on Thursday night to support the team and chant Mis-ter-Mor-ger-a!!! We invite Beal families to join us at the game and support our Oak Middle School football team!
Also, next Thursday will be a Spirit Day for our Beal community to celebrate at school. All are invited to wear your favorite Shrewsbury gear or favorite athletic clothing to school. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate and show gratitude for being part of such a great community.
