A Message from the Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
It was great to see everyone decked out in their denim and diamonds on Saturday night at our Pot O’ Gold! It was a fun evening and the live auction was quite energetic, thank you for supporting the new roof initiative. Watch fo the link to the POG Singin’ in the Rain slideshow in case you missed it – it is adorable and so are our talented K-2 grade students and our very own Gene Kelly, Evan Carlo Olmas! I am grateful to Jesse and David Granado for the photography and editing skills that made this slideshow come to life.
It took quite a team to make our Pot O’ Gold such a success. Heartfelt thanks go out to POG chair, Tamara San Miguel and co-chairs Maria Orand and Lisa Phillips. Special thanks also go to all of our room moms and teachers for creating beautiful classroom baskets, and all of the parents who donated items or found donors for our silent auction. I appreciate the efforts of our faculty and staff with the production of the event, especially Tracy Head, Jan Barker, Sara Hiett and Lisa Griffith.
Friday is Valentine’s Day and a half-day at HFCS. Class parties will include sweets and snack food at 11:00 am, dismissal will be at noon. After school care will be available, please pack a lunch for your student/s on Friday.
We are so proud of Kaitlyn Szostek! Kaitlyn came in 3rd place at the Area 16 Spelling Bee held at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts last Tuesday. She competed against students in grades 4-8 from 27 private, parochial, charter, and home schools in Area 16. Congratulations, Kaitlyn!
Safety is on all of our minds. Our school safety committee has been, and will continue to be, focused on assessing and implementing new campus safety measures. HFCS has purchased security cameras and is working with our IT consultant to incorporate the security camera system with the recently installed server. Once that process is complete, the physical cameras will be installed on campus, both inside and outside of the school building. I will keep you informed on the progress we make on this project and any other safety implementations.
Blessings,
Mrs. Ann Walters

Denim and Diamonds - A Stompin' Good Time!
Yee haw… That’s a wrap for the 33rd annual Denim & Diamonds Pot Gold.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Pot O’Gold cannot happen without each and everyone of you. From selling raffle tickets, for all the donations, for the time you took to make class projects (which by the way were AWESOME), for the buy it nows, for the teacher and staff donations, for the volunteers who made the baskets look amazing, for the volunteers who helped with the move in and out of Ridglea Country Club and especially for everyone who attended the event and purchased the silent and live auctions.
Our school might be small, but we are mighty, and we can move mountains. God has truly blessed our little gem of a school with caring and loving parents, grandparents, parishioners, teachers and staff who come together for the benefit of our children and our school.
Thank you again from the bottom or our hearts.
