East Troy High School Newsletter
December 2019
Principals Notes
It's not even December yet and we are 1/3 of the way through the school year with the first trimester in the books. Students will have new courses after they return from Thanksgiving beginning December 2, 2019 through March 11, 2020. As with anything new, we will continue to reflect and adjust our practices including reviewing the decision to not have a formal final exam schedule. If you have any thoughts that you'd like to share regarding the decision to not have a designated exam schedule, please feel free to email us.
As always, we are dedicated to the success of each and every child at ETHS. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Mr. Kent Kleinowski and Mrs. Stacey Kuehn

Attendance and Bell Schedules
Student Absences
- Same Day: Parents should call the attendance office before 8:00 am. If leaving a message, please include your name, your child's name, and the reason for the absence.
- East High School uses the school notification system School Messenger for attendance calls. The families of students whose absences have not been verified by 8:30a.m. with a parent/guardian will receive an automated phone call placed to primary phone and parent/guardian cell phone numbers listed in Skylert.
- Reminder if going to the doctor or dentist bring in excuse from the doctor or dentist to the main office so that the absence can be recorded as medical.
- Pre-Arranged: A pre-arranged absence form must be completed and submitted to the office at least one day prior to the proposed absence. The form is available on the District website and in the HS office. If you have completed the pre-arranged absence process, you do not need to call the office the day of your child's absence.
Student Late Arrivals
