Tainui Full Primary School 4th March 2022
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia ora, Kia orana, Talofa, Bula, Greetings
š What a beginning to our 2022 school year.
It certainly has been an interesting and definitely a mix of unsettling times. What I do want to assure you is that we do our utmost to make sure our tamariki and staff are safe. We strive to follow our clear directives from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health. Keeping all our communication transparent and regular. We thank you Tainui whÄnau for supporting us, having your kind words and acknowledgment really uplifts us.
Now that we are in Phase 3 there are a number of key messages for you to be aware of:
š· Close Contacts no longer need to isolate.
š· If there is someone in your household who is Covid positive every one who lives in your house needs to isolate for 10 days. test on day 3 and test again on day 10.
š·. Asymptomatic household contacts who return two negative tests will be able to leave isolation after 10 days, regardless of whether another member of their household tests positive.
š·. Support for people in self-isolation - If you are self-isolating at home, you can get help if you need essential supplies like food or medicine. If your symptoms worsen, call your doctor or Healthline for advice. They will tell you what you need to do next.
š· Vulnerable people will have access to clinical care to help them self-isolate safely.
š· Help if you are self isolating - https://covid19.govt.nz/.../help-when-you-are-self.../
š· Financial support - https://covid19.govt.nz/isolation-and.../financial-support/
We look forward to seeing your tamariki return to school if they are well enough to do so. With all this going on what I can say is that our teaching team are working tirelessly behind the scenes still making certain that learning is occurring.
We are thinking of ways that we can still keep in touch and maintain our school-whÄnau relationships with you.
Each week you will see via our facebook page and school app we sum up and celebrate our week with the amazing learning that is happening across our teams. Our tamariki continue to get a really robust learning programme and this will continue even as we work under the different phases of Covid.
We are now on instagram (tainufullprimary)and here you will see the celebration of our tamariki, key communication and some feel good stories about how student achievement is going. Go and add us on instagram whÄnau.

Nga PÄpÄ« Manu- Transition To School 2022
Kia ora, Kia Orana Talofa lava & greetings whÄnau,
Our NgÄ PÄpÄ« Manu programme supports your tamariki during their transition to primary school life. Every child adapts differently when finding a sense of belonging in new environments, all who are involved should make this a positive experience. We will work together to create a plan and timetable that will suit the needs of the child and family.
Our programme will run Tuesday Thursday & Friday from 9am-1.00pm. The number of visits we recommend before starting school is six weeks. We look forward to meeting with you and working together to grow competent and confident children for our future.
