How is Opioids used?
They attach to specific proteins called opioid receptors, which are founded in the brain, spinal cord, gastrointestinal tract. When they attach to the receptors it relieves the pain.

Some short term effects of Opioids are Drowsiness, Slowed Breathing, Constipation, Unconsciousness, Nausea, and a Coma.
Long Term Effects
The continuing use of using opioids can make you get addicted, and physical dependence. This includes restlessness, muscle and bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, and cold flashes with goose bumps.
