South Grove Intermediate School
News and Notes for May
From Mrs. Reid
Thank you very much for supporting our schools and voting Yes twice! It's a great day to be a Hornet!
It's hard to believe we are in the last month of the 2014-2015 school year. This month students will finish the ISTEP test, strive to meet their final AR goal, and continue to work hard in the classroom to master all the skills needed for the next grade.
Please continue to follow your child's progress in Parent Connect. We know some students get a case of "spring fever" and we all need to work together to help stay focused on our academic goals!
Get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! I will look forward to seeing you at our Awards Day on May 29th when we celebrate all the accomplishments from this incredible school year.

Survivor Day 2015
Survivor Day is almost here! This annual event will be on Thursday, May 28th. To prepare for the big event there are a few things we need. Please send the following items with your students as soon as possible.
1. All students need to bring a white t-shirt to be tie dyed & $.50 to help off set the cost of the dye.
2. We are looking for donations of any and all sizes of rubber bands that will be used to tie the shirts before they get dyed.
3. Mrs. Newman is looking for volunteers that want to assist on Survivor Day. This school-wide event depends on our wonderful volunteers. Please contact Mrs. Newman if you can help, at any time during the day. (knewman@bgcs.k12.in.us)
Thanks in advance for making the 2015 Survivor Day a huge success!
Step it up! ISTEP Continues!
