Jo's Sport Talk
The BOP Cricket Girls Rainbow World Cup opened the 2021 inter-school sports calendar yesterday, with their annual event at the Bay Oval. The tournament provides all the players the opportunity to put to practice the skills they learnt during the free girls cricket programme that took place at school over the last few weeks. Our girls cricket team, the TPS Tutus (dressed in a rainbow of tutus), played amazingly well. The team won all four games convincingly and showed some impressive skills; sneaking in extra runs, whacking 6s through the fence line, and bowling and catching the opposition out. The TPS Tutus also demonstrated great sportsmanship amongst themselves and to other teams. Congratulations to Tia Poroa and Meleane Hala for receiving "Player of the Day" awards, and to Jessica Teague for being recognised as an "Upcoming Player of the Future" by BOP Cricket.
The TPS Swimming Sports is our next sporting event on Tuesday 16th March for all year 3-6 students.

Food and full water bottle - enough for a full day
Your best behaviour and a positive “can do” attitude

The decision will be made by 7:30am whether the middle school and those competing in senior non-competitive will attend. Senior competitive events will still go ahead unless there is torrential rain, in which case they will be moved to an alternative date. An email will be sent and TPS Facebook will be updated.
