Classroom Happenings
ELA: Mrs. Day & Mrs.Goosen
While drafting our Realistic Fiction Narrative, we started focusing on adding more details to scenes to “show not tell”.
Day- students can revise their Refugee Summatives. Expectations posted in Classroom.
If you would like to support our classroom library, please visit our class Amazon Wish List (Day) or Amazon Wish List (Goosen). Thank you for your support!
Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Students spent the week focused on how and why we experience solar and lunar eclipses. Your student should be able to explain what is happening as well as why we do not experience eclipses every month. Ask them!
Next week students will learn what causes us to experience seasons on Earth.
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Students worked this week on their summative project for our Geography Unit. Students chose a civilization that interested them, and have spent time attempting to explain how geography had an effect on the people that lived within that civilization.
Students will spend next week sharing the information that they have learned.
