Social Studies Project

We will be learning about modern California Today and Tomorrow and the Cereal Box Project is due SEPTEMBER 15TH. (see examples below)

Math Homework

REMINDER: Reflex math is to be played EVERY NIGHT if your child has not passed the timed multiplication facts fluency test in 3 minutes. Your child should know if they need to be on Reflex.


Please attend the Achieve 300 Parent Inservice September 8th @ 3:30 in the library. This is a program we will be using the entire year and it is important that your child gets the most out of this it. We hope you can attend to learn more about all the benefits of this leveled reading program. Additionally, this week your child's Lexile Level will adjust so please look for notification of your child's current Lexile Level this week. REMINDER: 740 is the 4th grade Lexile goal. Note: Lexile level will adjust at the end of every month.


REMINDER: Weekly progress reports should be returned with your signature EVERY Monday. This is our way of communicating with you on a weekly basis in regards to classwork, homework and behavior. NOTE: Attached pages, such as Spelling Tests or quizzes, can be detached and kept at home for your reference.

THANK YOU to everyone who has sent in their gently used books for our book drive! We are grateful and will continue to graciously accept any more books you may be looking to pass on. Meanwhile, we will be holding our raffle for the lunch with the teacher and announce the winner Tuesday.


This Friday, September 11th the PTA will host the 2nd Annual family movie and campout. The movie is FREE (7:00-9:00 pm) but it is $20 per campsite, $25 at the door (set-up 5:00 pm -9:00 am). This is also an opportunity for our grade level to raise money for upcoming field trips. We will be selling Rita's Italian Ice and are in need of parent volunteers to sell help scoop into cups. We are asking for 1 parents volunteer per class to help at booth for two hour shifts.

5:00-7:00 : 2 parent volunteers

7:00-9:00: 2 parent volunteers

Achieve 3000: Kid Biz

UPDATE: Please download the free Achieve 3000 Kid Biz app to do Achieve homework. If possible please do the Achieve homework on your home desktop computer that is connected to the internet. On your wireless device (i.e. iPad, tablet, Kindle, iTouch, etc) the articles completed do NOT register on the program until the wireless device is connected to Wi-Fi. To avoid any confusion or misunderstanding on our Achieve usage reports, please use computer that is connected to the Internet. NOTE: Students will be choosing which articles to read for homework. Students will be striving for 75% or better on their FIRST TRY score. Please encourage your child to read, re-read and REFER TO ARTICLE when answering the activity questions.
