Hello Lakeside Families,
As we conclude our second week of Learn at Home, I want to thank our teachers and staff for all of your efforts in planning and implementing Learn at Home lessons. Thank you, students, for your quality engagement last week, and thank you, parents, and caregivers, for all that you are doing to support your family during this difficult time.
I’m excited to share Registration for Kindergarten and Preschool in Warren Township begins on Monday, May 4th. There will be a live webinar on May 4th at 7 pm. Principals and teachers will present information about Kindergarten and Preschool programs in Warren, demonstrate information about how to register online, and conduct a live question & answer session with audience members. Children must be age 5 on or before September 1 to register for Kindergarten and age 3 on or before September 1 to register for Preschool. You can find this flyer and online registration in our Lakeside Newsletter as well as our social media sites throughout the district.
Warren Township is also evaluating our technology needs and how to better serve our families and students. Since iPads and Chromebooks require a WiFi connection, we are interested to know whether our students have access to WiFi at home. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey which can be found in our Lakeside Newsletter as well as our social media sites throughout the district. Survey- bit.ly/MSDWTECHSURVEY
Finally, the Census Questionnaire plays an important role in determining funding for our schools, hospitals, roads, and other resources for our community. Please complete your census online at 2020Census.gov.
Please take a moment and share the video linked below with your students. We miss our Lakeside students! Video

Live Virtual Recess: A Playworks Coach leading a morning warm-up, a midday game, and an afternoon cooldown each day. Anyone can tune into Facebook Live Monday- Friday at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm EST and play along.

SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/NEWS MEDIA USE
The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
