Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

SUKKAH items due Sunday!!!
Grab your food pantry lists for the 2017 SUKKAH today! Lists are available in the Sanctuary by the sound booth. Please choose the list according to the first letter of your last name! Our “SUKKAH” (meaning booth) is in the chancel area of Prospect’s Sanctuary. Here, we will place your “gleanings” so others will be cared for as well as you and yours.
Please return your items this Sunday, November 19th!
Need a copy of the lists? Click on the link below!
Chaddock Child Christmas Adoption--We have 5 kiddos still up for adoption!!!
Our annual Christmas Adoption kicked off last Sunday!
We have 50 children up for “adoption” this year and 5 left to this date. You can adopt a child on your own or partner with friends or other families.
Lists will be handed out before and after Worship. Please return the unwrapped gifts to PUMC no later than Sunday, December 3rd. You can also drop your items off early during week day office hours in the outer office CLEARLY marked. Like last year, from the suggestion of Chaddock personnel, it is being requested that the unwrapped gifts be put into a duffle bag if possible. This provides the resident with a “suitcase” for his or her belongings when leaving Chaddock.
Mary Martha Bake Sale
Mary Martha’s annual bake sale is this Sunday November 19th, before and after church. Purchase goodies for a great cause! 100% of the funds raised are given to missions!
Want to donate baked goods?! Let the office know!
Hanging of the Greens--this Sunday after worship!!!
Hanging of the Greens is this Sunday, November 19th following Worship.
The United Methodist Men will be serving a light lunch beginning at 11:30 AM. We will plan to decorate after worship and finish up following lunch. The Hanging of the Greens is a great family event and is a wonderful opportunity to fine tune our focus on the Advent season. All are welcome to attend and we look forward to kicking off the Advent season with all of our PUMC Family and Friends!
