LIBRARY NEWS UPDATES
Arrival and Dismissal
We want to be a welcoming school, however we have a few changes for increased safety.
For the first week of school, parents/guardians will be able to walk with their child to the cafeteria and the classroom. Our front door opens at 7:00 for students to have breakfast. Students can start walking to class at 7:15 am. Students will enter class at 7:35 am and class starts at 7:45 am.
After the first week, guests can sign in through the front office to receive a visitor's pass prior to entering the building and will only have access to Building A and the cafeteria. As always, we will provide curb service for students being dropped off in the morning for families coming through the parent pick up/drop off line. Please do not drop off your child in our parking lot for safety reasons.
DISMISSAL:
With safety concerns in mind, dismissal will be different this year. On Meet the Teacher Night, you will be given a car placard to display on your front dashboard. The placard will simply indicate student name, grade level and teacher name. All classes will remain in the building for dismissal and students will be called to the front individually. Dismissal will begin at 3:10 pm. PK, Kinder and 1st grade parents can walk up to the front outside of the cafeteria for their child or can remain in the drive through pick up line. Staff will be available to assist with communicating to the grade level/teacher when you arrive. Please be patient the first few days as we transition to this safer alternative for our dismissal.
Daily Attendance is important!
Students arriving between 7:45 and 9:00 will be marked tardy and you must walk your child into the school to sign them in.
Students arriving after 9:00 will be marked absent unless returning with a medical appointment excuse.
Please advise the teacher or front office when students will be absence or running late. If you child is absent, please send an excuse with your child's name, teacher name, date of absence and reason for the absence. It is also helpful to include the student ID number so the excuse can be updated easily. Thank you in advance!
