Big Wheel Day was Big Fun!

Our Preschool students had an incredible day of fun on Thursday during Big Wheel Day! Early Learners, Advanced Learners, and Pre-K students enjoyed a beautiful morning in the St. Mary's parking lot as they rode their trikes, bikes, scooters, and other vehicles and stopped at different stations throughout the morning. Students were able to stop at a car wash, gas station (gas was FREE!), mechanic station, bubbles station, sunglass shop, bank, face painting booth, popsicle stand, and all kinds of other activities for a fun-filled and active morning. Students had to follow road signs and practice good driving skills or they might get a ticket from one of the police officers patrolling the parking lot. Special thanks to Miss Carrie for planning such a special event for our students, to Miss Teresa and Miss Gay for helping get things organized and set up, and to our fabulous 5th graders for helping our littles have a fun and safe morning. What a wonderful day for our Preschool, thank you!

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Program and Project Fair

What a special evening we had on Wednesday as our Kindergarten - 2nd Grade students presented their Spring Program and Project Fair! The students did a wonderful job singing and acting in an opera rendition of the 3 Little Pigs, and all 18 songs were toe-tapping good! Afterwards, families transitioned to the St. Mary's Parish Hall to ohh and ahh over all the impressive projects completed by Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students. Families enjoyed seeing the projects, visiting with other families, and picking up a book or two in the Scholastic Book Fair. What a wonderful evening for our school community. Special thanks to Ms. Kessler, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Estrada, and Mrs. Doll for their work in getting the students ready for the evening, and to Jen Larson for chairing the book fair. It takes a lot of helping hands to make special evenings like this possible, thank you to all who helped make the evening a success!

The Time to Register is Now!

Thank you to the families who have completed the registration process for the 2022-2023 school year. It's hard to believe, but August will be here before we know it! Your prompt registration is very important in the decisions about class size, split classes, and the hiring of faculty and staff.

Please note that parish families DO NOT need to have their parish code at this time in order to complete the initial registration process, this is an update since last year's enrollment.

If you have any questions about the process, please contact Marla Testerman at 417-624-5003 ext. 203 or mtesterman@jacss.org. You are also welcome to contact St. Mary's school office for general questions about the enrollment process. As always, we are here to help your family in any way we are able.

It Pays to Read the Newsletter!

Congratulations to Kristy Buccieri, the winner of the $50 Visa gift card! Kristy and many other parents emailed me to let me know that they read the entire newsletter last week and were entered in a drawing. Thank you to all the parents who read the newsletter each week to stay informed of everything happening in our special school.
