Please be cognizant of your students' current grade level, as there are different expectations for each. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to 319.848.5340.
Yearly ISASP testing for Sophomores and Juniors at Prairie High School will take place Monday, April 4 through Thursday, April 7, 2022. College and Career Transition...
There's still time to FILE the FAFSA! Filing the FAFSA is the single most important thing you can do to get money for college. For most colleges, filing the FAFSA opens up access to grants, scholarships, work study and loans (if you choose to take them).
Why should you complete the FAFSA?
There is serious money on the line! Every year, billions of dollars of free money go unclaimed by students who refuse to complete the FAFSA.
It's FREE and EASY! There is zero risk in filing the FAFSA. You are not obligated to accept any of the aid offered to you.
Need Help Filing the FAFSA? Schedule a time with Ms. Rawson here.
Upcoming Multicultural College Visit Days for Juniors! Join other Cedar Rapids area high school students for an exciting opportunity to visit the University of Northern Iowa or the University of Iowa. These visits are designed to give students a chance to learn about the opportunities and services available to multicultural students. These days will include information about scholarships, student organizations, and the admission process. The Multicultural Student Visit Day is open to students who come from backgrounds or identities that are traditionally underrepresented in higher education including: students of color, will be the first in their families to obtain a 4-year college degree, students from low-income backgrounds, students who receive IEP services and/or students who are English Language Learners. To be eligible to attend, students must also have a minimum 2.7 GPA and currently have a D or higher in all courses. *Please note that space is limited for these visits. We will do our best to accommodate all who are interested. If you are not eligible or selected to go on this visit, there will be future college visit opportunities. Priority will be given to students who submit the applications by the specified deadlines (see below).
