John Adams
John Adams gave British soldiers who killed colonists in the Boston Massacre a fair trial. He did this to show Britain that the colonies were just. He was born in Massachusetts.
Family and Friends
His cousin was Samuel Adams. He organized the Sons of Liberty and Committee of Correspondence, and he helped coordinate resistance to the Tea Act. Abigail Adams, his wife, wrote plays with Mercy Otis Warren that made fun of the British soldiers.
