Mustang Memo
April 17 , 2020
Dear God,
But we are grateful that no matter how alone we may feel, You never leave or forsake us. And, we're grateful for the technology that helps us stay in touch with each other.
Today, please remind us that this time of social distancing and isolation will not last forever.
Give us the strength to endure this difficult season, and deepen our connection with You and Your people.
Empower us with an extra dose of Your love, peace, hope and joy, because we need it. Remind us of Your promises, and please heal our land.
In Jesus' Name, Amen

From the Principal
I can not believe another week has come and gone. Even in isolation, I feel like these weeks are flying by. I just wanted to touch base on a few things. I am sure by now you have all heard that we will not be returning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. We have been anticipating this mandate but praying we would be able to get students back into school. Therefore our E-Learning will continue as it has been until May 22nd, 8th Grade schedule may vary. I want to say thank you for being patient as this situation was thrust at you. I know that this is not easy for any of you, but the partnership between home and school is an integral part of a successful school. We know this situation is not ideal. The students growing, connecting and learning together is ideal. I speak for the staff of Montini when I say, WE MISS THE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES EVERYDAY. We will schedule time for families to collect their students' belongings, following the CDC guidelines, sometime in May.
For the graduating class of 2020, we're sorry, so very sorry. I do not know what to say, we wanted to see you walk the halls one last time, grow together at Covenant Harbor, and celebrate your last All School Mass together. We will plan something as soon as possible to celebrate what you mean to this community. We do not know what this will look like yet but will share with our graduates as soon as possible. Again, I am truly sorry that you have to miss all of these tremendous experiences as you move on to high school.
We will stay connected as a community. The school doors are closed but the connection to students and families is not. We will be OK because of the amazing students, parents and staff that Montini has. With God we are all in this together!
As for next year, we are in full planning mode. I have attached the tentative calendar. We will be starting and ending a few days after D15, but bus service will be provided. Please return your contracts to the Middle office via the lockbox or mail so that we can continue planning to return stronger than ever. Due to churches being closed, Participating Parishioner Form due dates will be extended, please do not worry about these until Shelter in Place has been lifted. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me.
If your family requires anything please reach out and I will try to find the resources to help. The staff and I miss your children dearly. I pray for your families to remain healthy and to grow closer to God during these times.
Safe at Home
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. Stark
