End of Semester, Finals, Early Out Schedule
Eielson Families!
The end of the semester is fast approaching, winter break begins Dec. 23rd and students return to school Tuesday Jan. 7th, teachers return for a workday on Jan. 6th, 2020. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Dec. 18, 19, and 20 students will be on a bell schedule that has them released each day at 12. Two finals a day will take place, Wed exams for class periods 1 and 4, Thurs exams for classes 2 and 5, and Friday exams for classes 3 and 6.
As a reminder NO finals may be taken earlier than the last three days of the semester, if you will be traveling and miss those days we will have makeup days beginning Jan. 7th when students return. Students will have 10 days to complete the makeups to clear an "incomplete" grade or they will turn to an "F" as a final grade.
If you know that your student will be out during the last three days please make contact to the counseling office so that we can prepare to facilitate make ups.

Attendance Policy
Ben Eielson promotes the value of instructional time and the importance of student responsibility with our tardy policy. We expect every student, in class, on time every day. When students are late, they are sent down to the front office. Here they will receive a tardy admit pass to class. The best way to avoid consequences are to arrive to class on time. Students will be called down to office to discuss multiple tardies. Parents will be notified by students prior to consequences.
The consequences for excessive tardiness are as follows:
1st-2nd- Student will receive a warning and tardy admit pass to class
3rd-5th- Student will be assigned to lunch detention
6th - above - Student will be placed on an attendance contract. Consequences could include: ISI time, loss of hall passes, and additinal after school. detentions. Students' parent/guardian and counselor are notified.
*Work missed due to an unexcused tardy is not eligible for make-up.
NOTE: Tardiness and absences are cumulative across each Quarter.
Early dismissal for December 18th, 19th, and 20th
School will be released at 12:00 on December 18th, 19th, 20th.
Buses will run at 12:07 and NO LUNCH will be served on those days.
