Hawk Talk
Message from Mr. Carlson
It’s February I Love to Read month at Rice Lake Elementary.
Your student should have received a pink minutes sheet this week. Record the minutes you read in the heart for that day. Once your sheet is full add them up and write the total at the bottom of the page.
If you read a total of 300 minutes or more, you will receive a book of your choice. The top reader in each class will also get to pick out a prize. You can add reading minutes to the sheet by:
- Reading to yourself
- Reading with a parent or sibling
- Listening to a story
Please bring your finished sheet to the library beginning Friday, March 1st - 8th to redeem your book. Look for more information and reminders in the Hawk Talk. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Guthmueller or Mrs. Britz. Happy Reading!

Deadlines are fast approaching and we need your pictures. Photos from all extracurricular activities are welcome!
Please email photos to yearbookrle@gmail.com with the names of your RL kids in the photo.
Photo guidelines: no adults, no non-RLE students, and no professional photography.
Spring Conferences are coming up on Monday, February 26 and Thursday, Feb. 29.
Watch for an email next week about signing up for a conference.
The PTO will once again bless our amazing teachers by providing dinner.
This is great way to show the teachers how much we appreciate them and
they love not having to worry about dinner on these busy nights.
