Spring Break
I hope everyone and their families are staying healthy and well during COVID 19. I miss all of you and was very happy to see some of you at our Zoom preschool staff meeting, as well as the Zoom classroom sessions held last week. I do not have any new guidance that has changed from my last email or Zoom meeting.
As of now all employees are directed to use Vacation or Without Pay Time off for Spring Break 3/30 - 4/3/20 and stay tuned for the final decision regarding our return day. I know the District has been in talks with the Union regarding what the next steps will be if school does not reopen on 4/6. Rest assured we will be compensated for April regardless of the decision however, our job responsibilities for the District after the Break concludes is yet to be decided. The teachers have begun small preparations in the event we do not open. If we don't open, your support in activity preparation may also be needed.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to talk, Zoom, need support or have any questions. Rest and enjoy this, "gift of time" with your family. Our regular weekly staff Smore will resume next week. I miss seeing all your faces along with our students and families. This is hard in so many ways. Stay positive, healthy, and I look forward to our reunification.
Lots of Love,
Lisa

Farewell to staff
- Larura Gemme, Silver Strand Preschool AM session. Super amazing assistant!
- Stacy Schubert, ECDC TK/K Child Care. Extremely wonderful and generous to all!
- Teri Strompolis, Silver Strand breaker. Always supportive to the preschool!
- Ranada Turner, Village Before care. Consistently made the 6:30 am shift! And always helped when needed.
These employees were great additions to CUSD's Preschool and Child Care team.
"Your support and dedication to the program was valued and you will be greatly missed!!! Due to the nature of COVID 19, planned good-byes were not able to occur however, if possible we welcome you back for a visit or proper good-bye once life has normalized. Best of luck on your next endeavor!"
