Knightly Update January 2, 2022
ACP High School - Edition Vol 1 Issue 22
Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed the break and had the opportunity to safely enjoy the days with family and friends. I am excited to see what 2022 brings to the ACP community and I look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday and hearing their winter break stories.
With the start of the second semester brings the busy season of student registration. Administration and counseling will begin to meet with our underclassmen this month and continue throughout February to complete registering students for the 2022-2023 school year. It is important for students and families to understand that our school's teaching and staffing schedule is based on the courses selected by students, so it is critical that students carefully select the courses they want to take when registering for the upcoming year. Additional information will be shared at the various meetings held this quarter and communicated via our Knightly Update.
I realize the recent surge in Covid cases brings questions and concerns. Please know the parameters that were in place prior to the winter break will continue as we enter the second semester, including forced quarantines. If any additional directives are put in place I will communicate them in a timely manner. I encourage our students and families to do what they feel is most appropriate to maintain their personal health & safety along with the safety of others. Thank you.
As we prepare for the start of the second semester, please remember to follow established traffic guidelines when entering or exiting the campus. Be cognizant of our neighbors and do not travel through neighborhoods to get to the campus. Continue to utilize Brooks Farm Rd. and Mustang Road. Thank you for following established parameters and thanks again for your patience with the road construction experienced during final exam week.
Here's to a wonderful 2022 and second semester. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Thank you for being a part of the ACP community. Have a great New Year!
Rob Bickes
Principal

Senior Yearbook Ads
Senior Yearbook recognition ads are a great way for parents, families and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from recognition ads help our school to create a better yearbook. To purchase your ad online, follow the instructions on flyer. Jostens is managing your school's yearbook ad sales, so please do not contact or send materials to the school. All ad orders must be placed online by 01/28/2022. Please Make a Tax Credit Donation
If you are able to make your tax contributions early in the year, your donation would be greatly appreciated and give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50.00 per family for a total of $57,500.00 and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and our school!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
