This week, students will begin picking up materials from school. Parents can come to the Intermediate bus loop and pull in closest to the side wing hallway doors for a drive thru pick up format. There will be an adult that will ask for your child(s) name(s) and homeroom teacher's name. An adult will bring you your child's materials (from desk and locker). If your child has any library books at home that they are not currently using for classroom assignment purposes, please drop those off when picking up your child's supplies. There will be a later date for dropping off of devices and those assigned novel library books being used for current assignments. The schedule for picking up materials is below. School Counselor Buzz with Ms. Candice Zablotny
During this time of school closure, our Counseling Departments (K-12) are here to assist you. Our counselors are continuing to provide our students, families, and staff with as many resources, guidance, and accessibility as possible. The information below will provide you with some helpful information on how our counselors will continue to provide services for our students and families.
REQUESTING STUDENT SERVICES: Buckeye students and families requesting school counseling services should reach out to their assigned counselor via email. Based on the nature of the request, the counselor may respond back via email or may propose an alternate format such as phone or a ZOOM audio/video chat to address the needs of the student. Please note, counselors do not maintain 24-hour access to email, so for urgent needs, please see the resources listed below.
The district counselors will be posting a variety of information on their school building links and occasionally directly to students through google classroom and emails. All resources or lessons that are provided to students are not mandatory but simply to be used as additional resources for parents and students who are interested.
Please know that our teachers, counselors, and social workers may reach out to students and/or you directly as a check-in to see how things are going with them. This is done only to maintain an ongoing connection to school and in some cases, as a part of our positive mental health support. For a list of general information related to COVID-19 and other resource links to assist your family please go here: Family Resources- COVID 19
