April 5th-9th
What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Writing: We will review all the different genres of writing we have learned and practiced this year. We will get to choose which genre we want to write about.
Phonics/Grammar: We will review and practice with different parts of speech. We will practice with suffixes at the end of words.
Math: We will compose 2D shapes and 3D solids with given properties or attributes. We will decompose 2D shapes such as cutting out a square from a rectangle, dividing a shape in half, or partitioning a rectangle into identical triangles and identifying the resulting geometric parts.
Social Studies: We will explain how a natural resource becomes a finished product through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will investigate how seasonal changes affect organisms' behavior.
Important Dates:
- April 5th - No school
- April 6th - VIRTUAL DAY because 4th grade will be STAAR testing!
- April 6th - PTO Meeting (on Zoom at 6:00 pm)
- April 7th - College Shirt Day!
