SSA provided a pension or guaranteed, regular payments, for many people 65 and older mainly retired workers. It grants to states for old assistance.
Who does it serve, help, assist?
It serves people 65 and older who aren't able to work.
What are the accomplishments?
Social Security Act included a system of unemployment to help people find jobs. The system also helped older people who couldn't work. SSA also provides benefits to people who go out on disability. You don't necessary have to be 65, some can be younger when they apply for Social Security.
How does it affect us today?
It affects us today when taxes get taken out of our checks.
