Student Work Matters
Staff Spotlight
This week our spotlight is on one of our awesome first grade teachers, Ms. Graves. She has been a Lobo leader in the district since 2004 and has taught at Hackberry Elementary before coming to Prestwick. Ms. Graves graduated with a Bachelors of Science from The University of Oklahoma and has taught 1st grade for 14 years. When you visit Mrs. Graves classroom you will see that she has a passion for teaching students to read and she empowers them to have a love for reading. Here is what Mrs. Graves has to say about herself: “I love teaching because I love to see the excitement in my students when they accomplish something new in their learning. My goal is to challenge students to be the best they can be.” On a personal side, Ms. Graves spends her spare time with her own children, Taylor and Blake as well as her 2 dogs, Finley and Harvey. She enjoys watching college football and supporting the Sooners. She is also involved in Carry the Load in May to honor the fallen as well as Wreaths Across America in December.
Ms. Graves and the First grade team are committed to provide an environment where the students can grow and thrive in learning experiences.
