Men in the Gold Rush
Hard Work Pays Off
Traveling
The Gold Rush attracted immigrants from around the world. The men in this group are the ones who traveled very far from their home. They left for months, and weeks. The gold rush began on January 24,1848. These men went to California to try to get rich, and stayed in tents and canvas. They had little food and water to keep them digging. One day they found a lot of gold, and some days they found no gold at all. They would work from sunrise to sunset for months.

This is what motivated people to move to California.

Everyone wanted this gold so sometimes people raced to get to the new spot.

The Wants
Dedicatition
These men were so dedicated to be rich, and have the most money or gold. This is one main reason why these men moved as soon as they heard their was gold. Below is a video of the history of gold mining in the "Wild West."
